spoutdoors.comIMG_0226                            Hello fellow anglers what a beautiful day on the water with a great group of firemen. The guys came in  from Zachary Louisiana for a great day of rod bending (and breaking) action that weve been having as of late in Hopedale and the guys were not let down.

Today I had the pleasure of guiding  Mr.Roy Bobby and Shawn and what a great family. It’s always great to see a family that has a great time getting together and enjoying the great outdoors that we are so blessed with here in Louisiana. The day looked like it was gonna be a breeze with clear skies and the winds predicted to be 5 to 10 knots but as usual the weather man missed and with a vengence today. We made the ride out to the sound only to be greeted by a stiff 25-30 cross wind from the east and a good 4 foot set of waves.  So off to plan B and as they say that was a wrap. We started fishing around the rocks and the actio n was’nt fast and furious but was steady with Mr. Roy starting the action but only to be upstaged by the by his son and I must add the MASTER fisherman of the day Shawn.

We had a great time on the water from the first cast until all of the market shrimp were gone and lots of ribbing laughing and joking around and fishing talk of trips gone by and a lott of talk about the next time we can get together and do it again. The final fish tally for the day was 19 reds 12 npuppy drums and 4 bay snappers with a ton of throw backs mixed in.

If you would like to get in on some of the great action going on now in the Louisiana marshes and bayous weather it be fresh water or salt water give me a call or drop me an email and lets go fishing.

As always remember our motto RAIN OR SHINE SLEET OR SNOW IF YOU COM WE WILL GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Capt. Ron
