Hello fellow anglers. Recently made the first check out trip of the second fall on the Atchafalaya River. My brother and i went deep into the interior of the spillway with only one stop made, that was all it took to fill the box. One cast after the other the fish poured in faster than the current of the Atchafalaya. Bream, bass, catfish, goggle-eye, sac-a-lait, nothing could seem to stay away from the hook. We brought along 6 bags of shiners and 3 boxes of fat cool cat worms. By 11 o`clock there wasn’t a piece of bait to be found on the boat and not an inch to be spared in the ice chest.
On another note..THE COASTLINE IS BACK IN ACTION AND OPEN FOR FISHING!Both my brother and myself will be back out in the morning catching speckled trout and red fish. There will be a post of those trips tomorrow on the site.
