Hello fellow anglers. What a great fishing trip with a really nice family in form Lacomb Louisiana for some of the speckled trout slam-ma jam-ma that is going on right now in Hopedale . I picked the guys and gals up at the dock and we made the short ride out to the lake and it was slow at first because the strong winds had muddied up the water but after a move we got on a steady bite with almost every drift we were picking up 10 or 12 nice trout and a lot of throw backs mixed in but the action never slowed until the group had used up all of the bait. That’s just what I had hoped for just the right amount of bait and a box full of fish and 4 happy clients, the perfect formula for a guided trip.

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Mr.Randy Mr. Charles Mr. David and the real fisher person on the boat today Miss Rachel who started the trip on fire and never stopped fishing until it was a wrap today. All fish today were caught on Campos live and kicking shrimp rigged 3 feet under a rattling poping  cork. The final fish count for today was 95 nice specks 3 bay snappers and 2 puppy drums.

If you would like to make a trip Capt. Ron  give us a call or drop us an email we would love to take you and your friends and family fishing but call early because the available days are going fast.If you would like to take a trip please give me a call or drop me an email and we can arrange the trip of your lifetime. And as our motto says, “RAIN OR SHINE, SLEET OR SNOW, IF YOU COME WE WILL GO!

 Thanks Capt Ron

Hello fellow anglers. What a great fishing trip with a nice family in from New Orleans for some fun and fish catching in this great resource that we have been blessed with here in southern Louisiana. I met Mr. Les and his son Mr.David and his son Aiden at the dock at 6 am and they were chomping at the bit to get to the fish catching action at hand. After loading the live wells with Campos live shrimp we headed out to Hopedale lagoon and the birds were diving like crazy on the bait fish and the trout were eating them up along with our shrimp as  fast as they could get them in the water the corks were diving for the deep and the nice trout were coming as fast as I could take the off the hook and get them back in the water it was another fish on again. It didn’t take long until number 100 trout was on ice we headed to the shore line to try to catch some red fish but by that time the tide had fell out to a pretty low level and the reds were all off the shore lines and were hard to catch but they did manage to catch 2 nice red fish and 2 puppy drums to fill the fish box to the rim and we headed to the house.

These guys were fun to fish with and its always a pleasure to have three generations of one family on the boat at one time with me. The total fish count for today was 100 fat specks 2 red fish and 2 puppy drums. A great time was had by all and they were already planing their next trip down with before they even left the dock. All fish today were caught on live shrimp 3 feet under a rattling cork.

If you would like to make a trip Capt. Ron Or Capt. Ricky give us a call or drop us an email we would love to take you and your friends and family fishing but call early because the available days are going fast.If you would like to take a trip please give me a call or drop me an email and we can arrange the trip of your lifetime.                       Hello fellow anglers. What a great fishing trip with a fun group of guys. They had a little problem on the way in this morning but after they FINALY (just kidding) made it to the dock I was ready and waiting to go. It looked to be a perfect morning and that it was because at the first stop we waxed the fat specks in 1.5 hours number 75 hit the ice with a few bay snappers mixed in just for fun. After the the trout slam we headed to the edge of the lake to try for red fish but by then the wind had kicked it up a notch and was humping about 25 or 30 mph and had blown the water out pretty low and the reds were scatted out and we could only manage 1 big red and one big bay snapper to ice off a great day on the water with my two good friends.

All fish today were caught 3 feet under a rattling cork rigged with campos live shrimp. My guests on the boat today were Mr. Chris and Mr.  Volley in from Baton Rouge for their share of the hot hot hot fishing going on right now in Shell beach. The final fish count for the day was 75 nice specks 3 bay snappers and 1 lone red fish (but a fish box full of fish).

What a great fishing trip with a nice group of  people in from Franklinton Louisiana to fill their freezer with some succulent speckled trout and red fish for the winter. They met me at the dock at 7 am and we loaded up with Campos live and kicking shrimp and headed to the interior lake but on the way out we saw some birds pounding the water and couldn’t resist so we stopped and on the first cast Erin hooked up and it was on from there we picked up 20 nice trout until the bite slowed down and we picked up and moved over to lake Ameda where we have been smoking the nice trout and that was all it took because there we were able to finish out their limits on nice fall specks and they wanted a few red fish so on to the other side  of the lake and we finished off the trip right there with plenty of reds and puppy drums and bay snappers and a good number of ground mullets mixed in.

Today I had the pleasure of guiding Mr. Jay and Mrs. Erin & Mr. Mark and these guys were a blast to fish with and they could really fish especially Erin that took it to the guys today and put them to the test  (I think she smoked them myself). The fish count for today was 100 speckled trout 4 puppy drums 4 bay snappers 6 red fish and 15 ground mullets. All fish today were caught on live shrimp rigged 3 feet  under a rattling cork.

Hello fellow anglers. What a great fishing trip with a very nice family and friends.Today I had the pleasure of guiding Capt. Christian and his brother Gordon (in from Florida) his dad Fred (in from Texas)and their friend Scott (in from Oklahoma) and they were ready for some of the hottest fall fishing action going on in hopedale in the last few years.

After the captain had fed the guys up with a big breakfast they met me at the dock at 6 am and we loaded up and headed to Lake Robin and at the first stop the action was as fast as it gets with the specks eating up the live shrimp as fast as the guys could get them in the water. It took about 2 hours to catch their limits of fat speckled trout and they also had a run of bay snappers that came through from time to time and added some rod bending action to the trout catching. Mr. Fred put an old fashioned tail whupping on his sons on the boat today, it must have all the life time of experience that came through.

After they had enough trout they wanted a few red fish so off to Lake Amadee and one stop later and 5 reds and 7 drums later it was a wrap.Scott also caught a giant black drum about 30 pounds to put his new Oklahoma rod to the ultimate test today and it worked like a dream. These guys could really fish and that always makes my job a lot easier. It was a pleasure putting together a fishing trip for Capt. Sandy and his family because he said that they don’t get to spend as much quality time with their dad as they would like to. So with smiles all around and no room left in the fish box we headed to the barn.

The final fish count for today was 125 nice speckled trout 5 red fish 15 bay snappers and 7 puppy drums. The fish today fell to the usual live Campos shrimp 3 feet under a rattling cork and some fish were caught on the new H&H trout killer bait in the glow with chartruiese color rigged on a 1/4 flutter hook slow rolled off the bottom.

Hello fellow anglers. What a great fishing trip with a nice group of guys in from north Mississippi for some rod bending drag screaming fish action that is in full swing right now at the beach. I met the guys at the dock at 6 and we loaded up and headed to Lake Amadee and at the first stop by 7:15 we had 100 fat speckled trout and 2 big red fish in the box and the men wanted to catch some red fish so we headed over to four horse lake and in the first cut we started catching reds with a bunch of rats but about every third or fourth red being a keeper and Pat caught 2 nice flounders in this cut also but then the bite slowed a bit so we made a short move to the next cut and that was a wrap with the fish box filled to its over flowing.

Today I had the pleasure of guiding Mr. Pat, Mr. Dennis and their dad Jim. All fish today were caught on live shrimp 3 feet under a rattling cork. The final fish count for today was 1oo speckled trout 12 red fish 3 bay snappers and 3 flounders. A great time was had by all and the guys were already planing their next trip down to the beach at the dock.

All the fish today were caught using live shrimp 3 feet under a rattling cork butr  we  did catch a few on the new glow shrimp from H & H rigged with a split shot and bouncing it off  the bottom.                    Hello fellow anglers. What a great fishing trip with a really nice group of men in from north Mississippi for some good fall fishing in Hopedale and today was one stop shopping. The guys were at the dock at the crack of 5:30 chomping at the bit to bend the rod and asked where had I been (joking of course) and I said it didn’t look like 6:30 to me yet. After loading up with Campos live and kicking shrimp we headed to a small lake off lake Amadee and it was on from the first cast until the crack of 7:15 and number 75 trout hit the ice and the guys wanted to try for some red fish and we made a move to a close cut on the opposite shore line and the reds were there and hungry. We caught plenty of reds with some going up to 15 pounds with a lot of rats mixed in just to keep it interesting and also we picked up 2 nice drums and 2 flounders and a big fat 3.5 pound bass just to put the candle on the icing of a great day.

Today I had the pleasure of guiding Mr. Mike and Mr. Nathan in from New Albany and Olive Branch Mississippi today and we had  a bumper fall fishing day with all the fish caught on live shrimp 2 feet under a rattling  cork and a few on glow with chartreuse h&h coca-hoes tight lined. The final fish count was 75 trout 10 reds 2 puppy drums 2 flounders and 1 bass and no roo m in the fish box so it was a wrap as they say.

Hello fellow anglers. What a great fishing trip with a fine family. Today I wasn’t looking for it to be one of the best days to fish with the strong north winds blowing tha last few days and probably no water to speak of but when I hit the dock a lot of the water had came back in over night and I felt a little better about our chances of a successful Day of fish catching.

The guys showed up around 7 and the brothers and their dad who were visiting from northern California hadn’t fished this area before and had heard a lot about it  and the first lake we came to was fish-able and had a few birds feeding on shrimp so we made a drift and started picking up fish with about half of the fish making the grade and the other half dinks but plenty of action to keep it interesting. We made about three drifts and the fish just shut down cold and after 35 nice trout hitting the box we made a move to Lake Robin and the tide had fallen almost 2 feet and the water had turned to chocolate milk. We hit the first stop and it had a few fish there but I still don’t see how they were able to see how to eat but the did and these fish were a little better fish than the first group and we picked away at them until we had a nice box of fish and the LSU game was getting close and the guys had a fish fry planed for the game so we wrapped the trip up with high fives and smiles all around.

These guys were a blast to fish with and were talking about their next trip down and making another trip with me then. All fish today were caught on Campos live shrimp 2 feet under a rattling cork. After cleaning the fish the guys headed home to fry them up and watch LSU kick Alabama’s butt (GO TIGERSSSSSSSSSSSS).
