Hello fellow anglers. What a great fishing trip with a very nice family in from Denham Springs Louisiana for a fish stock up runand to introduce some of Mr. Dans family to the great fishing resource that we are so blessed with here in Louisiana and with the weather predicted to be a blow out it didn’t look good at the dock but with this time of the year as great man (my dad) once said- it is what it is and you have to go to know. So I met Mr. Dan and his lovely Wife Renee and his two sons Brian and Austin at the dock at 7 am and boy was the wind pumping but I am of the resolve that you take what you have and you make the very best of it and today it turned out to be a great fish catching day. All it took today was one stop and that was a wrap because from literally the first cast it was fish on fish on which Mrs. Renee caught her first ever red fish and she turned out to be the queen fisher person today on the boat because she really put an old fashioned tail whipping on the guys today, with doubles and triple hook ups all day long coming on the boat.
Today was kind of a reunion of sorts because I had my older brother Capt. Ricky helping me out on the boat and Mr. Dan and his oldest son Brian made a television show hunting a Corsican ram and taking him for a mount during our old hunting and fishing show days and it seemed like yesterday but it actually was about 8 years ago but we still watch the show on our web site and talk about that day with many customers of ours and friends as well. I have known Dan and Renee and heir family for many years and have wanted for quite some time to get them on the boat with me but the opportunity has never come up until now and it was a pleasure fishing with and visiting with them today and they said they cant wait to come back when the speckled trout turn on which is just around the corner.
All fish today were caught on market bait rigged 3 feet under a rattling popping cork fished up tight to the structure. The final fish count for the day was 30 fine red fish 2 puppy drums 2 speckled trout and 4 bay snappers. A very fine catch if I do say so myself.
The spring time trout slam is just around the corner and the good days are going fast so get your reservations on the book quickly before all the good days are gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello fellow anglers. What a great fishing trip with a very nice father and son duo in from New Orleans for some father son bonding over a bent fishing rod and thats just what happened today. Today I had the pleasure of guiding Mr. David and his very polite son Adam who had been on several fishing trips but had never caught any fish but about 15 minutes into our trip that hurdle had been over come and Adam had a new found confidence in his ability to catch fish and as the day wore on he got better and better at casting and reeling in fish which by the way he did quite a lott of both today. Even though the winds were relentless we were able to put together a box full of nice grill sized red fish and puppy drums and 1 lone speckled trout.
It was a pleasure to fish with these guys today and Mr. David had some interesting stories about different types of fish that he had caught all over the world. Mr. David was recommended to me by a loyal client friend of mine and he said that we did more than he could have ever expected us to do and I told it is easyto do in the best fishing area any where in the world like we have at shell Beach. All fish today were caught using market bait rigged 3 feet under a rattling cork. The final fish count was 20 Red fish 4 Puppy drums and 5 bay snappers and 1 lone speck.

Hello fellow anglers. What a fun fishing trip with 2 great guys in fom denhm Springs Louisiana for some good rod bending action that we have been doing as of late in Shell Beach. I met the guys at the dock and they were early and ready to get at the task at hand. The wind cast didnt look good so we opted for plan B and tried some of my back up spots for some rod benders but at the first two stops produced nothing but bait steelers so off to spot 3 and it was golden. Almost from the first cast the red fish were there and hungry but a little scattered out I guess because of the 25 knot winds that were howling most of the morning but as the morning wore on we got a short break from the winds and the fish went nuts and on one point the guys caught at least 25 nice reds and puppy drums.
Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Mr. Mark and Mr. Tony from denham Springs Louisiana today. Today was Mr. Tony’s only second fishing trip and after a few minutes of coaching he was casting and reeling like a pro. All fish today were caught using market bait rigged 3 feet under a rattling cork fished up close to the structure. The guys had a blast today and cant wait until their next Trip down to the beach.

What a great fishing trip with a very nice group in all the way from An arbor Michigan for the boys spring break trip and they said that they wanted to spend time with their dads on the water so they called us because that they have heard how phenomenal that the fishing is in Louisiana and we delivered another grand slam to them today. The dads just wanted the boys to get their rods bent and bend them we did from the first cast it was fish fish on until the fish box was full to the top. By this time the wind had picked up a little so we made a move to a little structure to try and get out of some of the rolling waves but the only problem was that the only thing biting there was those irritating spiked creatures so off to spot number three but Nada there but cats. Being as we were completely out of room in the fish box the guys were ready for part two of their spring break trip to Biloxi Mississippi so we headed to the barn.
All fish today were caught on Campos market bait fished on the bottom on a 1/4 ounce jig head. Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Mr.mark and Mr. Nick, Mr. Kevin, Mr. Ken and Mr. Grant and I also had my brother who jumped on board Capt. Ricky to give me a hand and thank goodness he did because with out him it would have been utter chaos today and instead it made the day easy as pie. The final fish count was a pile of bay snappers 45 in all.

Hello fellow anglers. What a great fishing trip with a very fun group of guys in from all over for a fun couple of days to celebrate the up coming nuptuials of one of their buddies. most of these guys have been fishing with myself or capt. Tony Gross of Backwater Fishing charters and boy could these guys ever fish and they reminded me so much of my brothers and myself and how terrably competitive they were and how much smack talking that was going on the boat literaly from the moment we hit the water it was on like donkey kong. But amongst all the poking of fun at each other these guys talked the talk because they could walk the walk if you know waht I mean.
We met the guys at the dock at 6;30 and they were up and chomping at the bit to bend the rod and all it took was one stop because there were so many fish and these guys fished so well that after an hour of fishing the fish box was at the lid stomping level and beyond. After the guys filled the box it was catch and release for a few more hours until the guys wanted a change of scenery so we headed for a spot looking to upgrade a few fish and we were able to catch a few more bull red fish and a few red fish that were the perfect size for grilling and even picked up a flounder to put the proverbial icing on the cake to a perfect day of fishing and smack talking.
All of the fish today were caught on market bait either fished 2 feet under a cork or most of the were caught Carolina rigged and bounced off the bottom and when they took it they took it hard most of the fish had t he hooks so deep they had to be cut off and rehooked up. the final fish count for the day was 51 bay snappers 9 red fish and 7 drums and one lone flounder. All in all a great time was had by all and many fish were caught and a lot were released to fight another day.

Slid ell fro a day of rest and relaxation and some rod bending. WER MET OUR CLIENTS MR. WALLY AND HIS BROTHER IN LAW AT THE DOCK AT 6:30 AM AND ASKED THE QUESTION DO YOU WANT TO CHASE SPECKS OR GET YOUR LINE TUGGED AND THEY SAID THEY WERE up for some of both and so with no tide and little wind we hit a rig that has been loaded with Fish and 2 stops was all it took to fill the fish box to its maximum capacity.
The wind was a little worse than we expected but the guys were real troopers and we made it to the rig and almost from the first cast it was fish after fish and as the day progressed the wind laid down some and with it the action picked up to a fever pitch and for about 2 hours it was a fish or a missed fish on every cast. After loading the box and the guys playing catch and release for a while we headed to the house with sore arms and smiles all around.
The final fish count for the day was 51 bay snappers 6 red fish and 9 puppy drums.All fish today were caught on market bait on jig heads bounced off the bottom. The guys both said that today was in the top 10 trips of their lives and cant wait until their next trip down with us.
