                         Hello fellow anglers. What a great day on the water with a group of superior fishermen in from Baton Rouge and Prairie ville La. for some of the trout smoking action we are in the middle of in Shell Beach right now. I knew it was going to be a talented fishermen trip when the guys unloaded at the dock and they all pulled ou 7 foot 6 inch st croix rods with shimano salt water reels on them spooled with power pro line and rigged with the best color top water lures out there today and I wasn’t wrong these guys were some of the best fishermen ever that I have fished with on my boat.

                       It was pretty much one stop fishing today we pulled up to a rig in the sound and the trout were eating it up and the guys were slinging the fish 2 or 3 at a time into the boat and these fish were solid every one of them from 17 to 23 inches each with some in the 4 to 5 pound class. It didn’t take long to get their limits in the boat and we hit a few islands trying for a few red fish and did pick up a few but the guys were done and ready to roll before the sweltering heat hit. These  guys all could fish and have caught a lot of fish at there camps on Grand Isle but never the quality of big fish that we caught today. All in all a great time was had by all and they were already planing their next trip with us before we ever got back to the dock.
