Hello fellow anglers sorry about the long absence from doing reports but AGAIN Ive been having unbelievable computer problems and ended up having to buy a brand new lap top to take care of a reoccurring problem then I had to start from square one but now im bbbaaacckkk. What a great fishing trip with a a really nice group of guys (even though they are long horn fans) but they sure could fish and were a blast to spend time on the boat with them. I met Shane and a few of his fellow workers at the dock at 5;30 and armed with Campos live shrimp we hit the sound to calm winds and clear water but the salt content was up to 20 percent and that usually means slow trout action but at the first rig the guys started out like wild fire with fish after fish but then the tide went slack and so did the fish but by then we had 25 nice trout and 1 nice puppy drum on ice. After giving them a while there we made a move a few hundred yards to another structure and picked up a few more trout and a big bay snapper then nada and on to spot number three and that was the ticket because as soon as we got tied off we started catching trout on all sides of the boat and  it didn’t take long to finish off their 125 trout limit. Then they wanted to try for a few red fish and we hit the channel and caught a bunch of rats with 3 keeper bay snappers and 1 keeper red and on to the interior lakes and we did manage to catach a few nice red fish mixed with a ton of rat reds and by then it was getting late and the guys were burnt out and we had had a great day so off to the barn.

its been a while that Shane has been talking about comig fishing with me and im glad we finaly were able to get it done the only bad thing was our friend Doc didn’t get to make the trip with us. All fish today were caught using live shrimp rigged 3 feet under a popping cork. The final fish count was 125 fat speckled trout 5 red fish 2 puppy drums. This group was such a blast to fish with I cant wait until our next trip on the water and next time Doc said he will be with us.
