Hello fellow anglers. Made a trip with 17 guys from ALBEMARLE CHEMICAL. They came in from all over the world to experience some of the rod-bending action in Shell Beach. Most of these guys had never caught a fish in their life. We quickly changed that. One of the men who had never held a fishing rod before caught a 50 lb Black Tip shark on his first cast. After a lot of screaming in celebration and tons of pictures taken, we released him to swim another day. Unfortunately for the other fish we caught, they went in the box. At the only stop we had to make we caught 50 or 60 fish of all varieties. Specks, reds, black drum, flounder, sharks, lady fish, crocker and im sure some other species that i just cant remember. These guys had a great time. Although they were first time fishermen, everyone caught plenty of fish. My brother took out a group of four Albemerle employees. One guy was from Russia, the other the Netherlands, and two locals from Baton Rouge. They ended up with a good catch including a big red fish, black drum, and speckled trout. Overall the trip was a success and everyone got to experience a piece of the sportsman’s paradise.
