The J & J crew

Hello fellow anglers. What a great day on the water with a great and very funny group of guys from J & J electrical. The guys drove in from Lees ville and Laplace Louisiana this morning to get their share of the speckled trout smack down going on right now in Shell Beach La. and today was like all of the other trips that we have had since the season has reopened. It was one stop shopping today we hit a dead end canal that has been stacked to the gills with a veritable menagerie of fish and they were there again today and hungry, almost from the first cast until we were out of bait it was BIG trout (some over 7 pounds) red fish, flounder, croakers and puppy drums one after the other. It looked like it was going to be a quick trip but Mr. Jay who set the trip up said you know they have bait just across the lake a few minutes away and he said he would love it if we could fish just a while longer and since I was in for the weekend I was happy to accommodate them so off to Breton Sound marina we went for more shrimp for round two.
With more bait we went right back to the hot spot to finish of their limits of trout then we started hitting points and cuts looking for red fish and in short order it was over with the box fish stuffed we started to leave but Capt. Tony of Backwater guide service had a small problem, it seems he had ran out of the stuff that makes your boat float (HAHAHAHAHA) so we lent him a hand getting off the mud flat a very funny way to end a fishing trip.
Today I had the pleasure of guiding Mr. jay and his coworker Greg from j and j electrical that have been fishing with us many times before and said that he couldn’t wait for the morning for their second day of fishing with us. All the fish we caught today were on live shrimp 3 feet under a rattling cork. The fish total for today was 92 trout 19 red fish with some of them up to 20 pounds 6 puppy drums and 4 flounder.
These guys were such a hoot to fish with laughing and joking around with each other between all the good fish catching that even before this trip was over they were planing their next trip back with us. The fishing is on fire right now in Shell Beach so if you would like to join us on a fishing trip of a life time give me a call or drop me an email I would love to take you fishing.
As always remember our motto RAIN OR SHINE SLEET OR SNOW IF YOU COME WE WILL GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Capt Ron
