SPORTSMANS PARADISE OUTDOORS FISHING
Capt. Ron Ph#225-445-1019 Capt. Ron email - hope19@cox.net
Hello fellow anglers. This is Capt. Ronnie Hope coming to you with the fishing forecast from the Shell Beach, Hopedale area for the coming month of September . This month the trout fishing will be good but during this month the trout will begin he fall migration to the inside for the winter patterns and the red fish will also and they have already started their move with big schools of reds being seen inside already. The speckled trout will still be eating live shrimp until they are gone and that will depend on LDWF and the close of the season. The red fish can be caught in the ponds on market bait under a cork fished along the shore lines and in the cuts and also you can sight fish for them with spoons and spinners in the shallows when the water clarity allows it.
The off shore fishing out of Shell beach has been phenomenal and with the the amber jack season back open the big boys will be hot and heavy for as long as you want to crank them up and the mangrove snapper are still all over the rigs along with the trigger fish and grouper and cobia and can be caught off the bottom or on top on all types of cut bait. Sometimes they can be caught on buck tail jigs and diamond jigs in various colors but the bright colors usually work best. All in all September is set to be an awesome month for fishing either in shore or off shore but it Will be HOT HOT HOT out there so make sure that every one stays hydrated with plenty of liquids.
