                      Hello fellow anglers its sssssooooooo good to be back on the water and enjoying our great coastal resource and being able to bring our fellow outdoor lovers to enjoy it along with me.I met my clients at 5:30 in the morning to get an early start on the trout slam that’s been going on since the fishing season has been reopened. We hit Campos fine marina for some live and kick-in shrimp and we were off. Today I had on the boat with me Mr. Rocky and his lovely wife Janice ant their daughter Lindsey in  from  Prairieville to have some fishing fun and we had a boat load of that.

                         Today it was one stop shopping at the first stop the trout were there and smoking the live shrimp as fast as the bait hit the water it was fish on fish on. This crew kept me hopping between baiting and taking fish off and retying break offs which we had plenty of with lots of bull reds in the area that were making passes through the trout feeding frenzy from time to time but I did my best to keep them in the water and having fun. The trout we caught today were some of ths biggest trout of the year by some up to 6.5 pounds and the red fish were up to 15 pounds. Most all of the fish were caught on live shrimp but when the shrimp ran out they caught several trout on plastics in various colors and even a few fish on top dogs in the bone with a chartruce belly. The final fish count for today was 100 fine speckled trout 20 reds 2 puppy drums and 4 flounder.

                         This crew today had a blast catching fish and laughing and joking with each other, they have been on the boat with me many times before and wish they had several more days that they could have stayed and fished but like most every one they had to get back to work but they will be back as soon as possible.

                           The fishing is as good as it gets right now so if you would like to get into some of this great action before they shut the season down for who know log cive me a call or drop me an email I would love to take you fishing.
