                Hello fellow anglers. Had a wonderful weekend fishing with a lovely from the Zachary construction crew. It was going to be a two day trip and on the first day I had the pleasure of fishing with Mr.Andy Mrs.Brenda (also known as momma B) Eric and his lovely wife Alana in from Texarkana Arkansa  for some rod bending action that is in full swing right now in Shell Beach. 

                               Day one started of with a stunning sunrise and ended with a fish box stuffed with quality fish. After getting some crack on a hook better known as Campos live shrimp we headed out in the sound and the first stop was the ticket for our limits of fine speckled trout with some nice trout up to 4.5 pounds (caught by momma B and it was her first fish) and the Eric wanted to try to hook his wife up with a rod bender and the second stop was just what the doctor ordered with the group picking up 5 fine red fish with one big bull that had Alana saying uncle and passing the rod back to Eric after she fought it as long as she could and Eric finished off the fight after doing the red fish shuffle around and around the boat several times but he made the net and after a few photos he went in the box. We fished this spot for a little while longer to wrap the trip with several more quality fish to fill the fish box to overflowing and we headed for nap central with smiles all around and sore arms.

                            This family could sure fish especially Eric who fishes on the FLW tour and you could tell it by the way he handled himself with a rod and reel. Most of fish today came on the live bait but Eric caught a few nice trout and the largest red of the day on plastics. The final fish count for day one was 98 trout 5 red fis 4 puppy drums and 3 bay snappers and one flounder.

               Day two I had the pleasure of fishing with Mr. Andy Miss Alissia Miss Addy and Alissa  boy friend Mr. Steve. Today started out rather ominous with the weather because no sooner did we hit the MRAGO did it start to rain so we hunkered down and rode through it to the same spot we had lit the fish up yesterday but with the high winds and rain the water was a mess and we could only muster up a hand full of keeper fish there. We bumped around looking for the hot spot but today was another animal than the day before but finaly we hit a spot protected from the gale force winds and started to weed through the smaller fish put together a good box of fis on a real tough day.

                          It’s always a pleasure to fish with the zachary Construction Group but it realy show their apreciation when some of their group akes a family vacation to come down and spend more time fishing with the king in Shell Beach. They all had a great time bending the rod and laughing and joking around with us and can’t wait until their next fishing trip to Shell Beach.
